ramsar-exchange -- Ramsar Exchange

About ramsar-exchange

The Ramsar Exchange is the official, administrative e-mail mailing list of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar, Iran, 1971), created by the Ramsar Secretariat in 1997 to facilitate communication among the Secretariat, the Administrative Authorities and national focal points in the Contracting Parties, and others officially charged with implementation of the Convention.

This is in partial fulfillment of Article 8.2(d) of the Convention text, which requires The Secretariat to forward notification of any alterations to the List, or changes in character of wetlands included therein, to all Contracting Parties and to arrange for these matters to be discussed at the next Conference.

The Ramsar Exchange consists of three separate mailing lists, one for English, another for French, and another for Spanish. Members of this list have been designated to receive such notifications by the competent Ramsar authorities in their national governments.

General information about the mailing list is at: http://lists.ramsar.org/mailman/listinfo/ramsar-exchange
