Welcome to the Ramsar Forum, the public electronic mailing list of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar, Iran, 1971), which was begun in 1997 and is maintained by the Ramsar Convention Secretariat in Gland, Switzerland. There are presently more than 1,000 Forum members. The purpose of the Ramsar Forum mailing list is to provide an e-mail mechanism for the exchange of news, announcements, and requests for information and advice on wetland- and Ramsar-related issues between any of the Forum's subscribers and all the others. The Forum is open to all interested persons and is unmoderated, so that all posted messages go directly to all subscribers. Therefore, any facts or opinions contained in any posted messages should not be seen as representing the opinions of the Ramsar Secretariat or the Contracting Parties or as facts whose accuracy is guaranteed by them. Using ramsar-forum
To post a message to all the list members, send email to ramsar-forum@lists.ramsar.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to ramsar-forum
Subscribe to ramsar-forum by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
